Salmon Burgers

3 salmon filets
1/2c flax seeds
1 egg white
1/2tsp salt
1Tbsp garlic powder
1/2tsp cumin
1Tbsp red pepper flakes

I love salmon burgers, so I decided to try my hand at some home made goodness.  These are so simple, just use either fresh or frozen Alaskan wild caught salmon filets, 1/2 cup of milled flax seeds and 1 egg white and spice to your liking.  The spices I used gave it an amazing flavor but feel free to get creative with your burgers and try something new.  I think lemon pepper would be a great flavor for these burgers.  Let me know what spices you chose in the comments section below, I'd love to hear them all!

Kale Chips

Kale(1 bundle)
*1TBSP Taco seasoning
1tsp Salt
1TBSP Olive oil

Wash your kale and drain.  Tear it from the stem and place in a large bowl.  Drizzle with olive oil and then top with spices.  Hand toss and make sure it gets well coated with the olive oil.  Then place in a dehydrator for 8hrs.  Once done immediately store in an air tight container.

*Taco seasoning: 1TBSP of ; cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, italian seasoning, red pepper flakes.

*You may also make these kale chips in your oven, I have just found that they do not stay crispy once they cool.  If you are going to make these chips and immediately consume, then go ahead and bake them in the oven at 350 for 20 mins or until crispy.

3/4 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
1/8 tsp dry mustard
zest of 1/8 of lemon

Blend all ingredients together in a blender or food processor until nice, thick, and fluffy.

Vegan Ranch

Ingredients:
1 tbs garlic powder
1 tbs onion powder

1 vegetable bouillon cube (cut it up though so you don't make your blender/food processor angry)

Add all ingredients to your veganaise mixture in your blender or food processor.  Blend until thoroughly mixed.

Enjoy!

Healthy Homemade Sweet and Salty Hot Chocolate

This is my healty homemade version of Starbucks Sweet and Salty, and Starbucks can't touch this! Here it is:

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups original almond milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup xylitol

Heat your liquids on low in a pot.  Once you start to see steam add in all your dry ingredients, and whisk away. Heat to desired temperature then pour into two mugs or, if you're like me, one big mug!  This recipe makes enough for two regular cups or one big one.  Sprinkle cinnaomon, nutmeg, and sea salt to garnish.  To make this a Sweet and Salty Mocha just brew one cup of your favorite black coffee (no cream or sugar), and add 1/2 cup per serving. Enjoy!
