My Favorite All-Natural DIY Cleaners & Soaps!

Floor cleaner:
1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
2 cups water
10 drops tea tree oil
5 drops spearmint

All Purpose cleaner:
1/4 cup distilled white vinegar
2 cups water
5 drops orange oil
5 drops spearmint oil
10 drops tea tree oil

Furniture polish:
3:1 ratio olive oil and distilled white vinegar
5-10 drops of orange oil

Glass cleaner:
2 cups water
2 cups rubbing alcohol
2 tbsp distilled white vinegar
2 drops tea tree oil
2 drops spearmint oil

Hand soap:
8oz bar of Bonners essential oil soap shaved (that way you don't have to add essentail oils they are already in the soap, its less expensive)
2 tbsp vegetable glycerine
1 gallon water
*if the solution is too thin add 3 tbsp of table salt and 8 oz of water
*if the solution is too thick add a bit more glycerine and water

Liquide Laundry detergent:
1/2 bar of fels naptha-shaved
2 cups water, dissolve.
1/2 cup borax
1/3 cup washing soda
desired essential oils (opt)
Add fels naptha to water and let dissolve.  Add borax and washing soda.  Pour into a large container and let sit over night.  Then add water, shake, and voila!  I use a 1.75 gallon container.  At this time you may also add your essential oils which are completely optional.  I find that the soap smells great just as it is.

Laundry Powder
1cup Borax
1cup washing soda
1/2cup fels naptha-shaved or Bonners essential soap bar-shaved

These are all very easy and inexpensive recipes, and I have loved using all of them. You can choose to use other essential oils other than the tea tree; that is for disinfectant purposes. The reason I chose spearmint and orange oil is because they are not very expensive and they give a clean crisp scent - nothing too overpowering.  Leave a comment below and let me know your favorite all natural homemade cleaning recipes.  I am always up for trying new things!  Thanks, hope you enjoy.

*Also a tip for dusting, whipe off with your glass cleaner then go back over with used dryer sheets to repeal the dust particles longer.

Veganaise and Homemade Ranch

Homemade Veganaise

Ingredients:
1/2 cup soy milk - plain, unsweetened
1 cup + 2 tbs grape seed oil
1/4 tsp apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp agave nectar (raw honey will work too)
3/4 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
1/8 tsp dry mustard
zest of 1/8 of lemon

Blend all ingredients together in a blender or food processor until nice, thick, and fluffy.

Vegan Ranch

Ingredients:
1 tbs garlic powder
1 tbs onion powder
1 tbs chives
1 tbs oregano
1 vegetable bouillon cube (cut it up though so you don't make your blender/food processor angry)

Add all ingredients to your veganaise mixture in your blender or food processor.  Blend until thoroughly mixed.

Enjoy!

All Natural Homemade Scrubs

Body Scrub:
8 tbsp organic sugar granules
3 1/2 tbsp pure coconut oil
So easy and inexpensive; this scrub smells great!  I get my pure coconut oil from my local Indian store.  It is very inexpensive; you can get a 16 oz bottle for $4.99.

Facial Scrub aka "Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice:"
2 tbsp ground almonds
2 tbsp ground oatmeal
2 tbsp sugar granules
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
3 1/2 tbsp almond oil
2 tbsp vegetable glycerin (or you could add another tbsp of almond oil)
The vegetable glycerin leaves your skin extra soft. This makes enough to fill up a 3oz bottle where I store mine, because I like having my face scrub in a squeeze bottle.

Both of these scrubs are awesome.  If you have sensitive skin and you find the face scrub too abrasive, leave out the regular sugar granules. The regular sugar makes for an invigorating facial scrub which I like, more along the lines of St. Ives Invigorating Apricot Scrub.  St. Ives was my favorite facial scrub, but with all the chemicals it has quickly become a thing of my past. Both of these scrubs smell so yummy you will want to eat them, and you could but try to resist since they are packed with sugar :)
