My love for Olive Oil

I have a new found love for olive oil.   I have been using it for a couple of years now for cooking and salad dressings little did I know how resourceful this oil was.  It has so many amazing uses that I have only begun to scratch the surface.  One of my first discoveries was using olive oil for a face cleanser, keep it in a small bottle in your bathroom use cotton balls to spread it over your entire face then place a hot wet wash cloth over your face for just a few seconds and then wipe off your face with the wash cloth.  Your face will feel great and oil free but not dried out, the olive oil depletes the oils that collects on your skin.  Also you can use the olive oil on a cotton ball for a non toxic eye make up remover.  My next find for olive oil was a great non toxic "pledge".  In a small squirt bottle mix 3 parts olive oil and 1 part vinegar along with 5-10 drops of your choice of essential oils.  I use orange oil which is inexpensive and gives a nice citrus smell.  Only make a small amount of this at a time because the olive oil can go rancid, I just doubled the recipe and that made a good amount but not too much.  I used 6 tbsp of olive oil, 2 tbsp of vinegar and 10 drops of orange oil.  I have used it three times now and there is still enough left for probably one or two more dustings, this gives a nice shine as well as keeps the dust away.  Just watch out if you have dogs, mine like to try and lick it off right after I do a dusting.  It wont hurt them, they just ruin all your work.  These are just the uses that I have tried, there are so many more.  I am working my way through all of them to see how well it works.  Leave a commment below if there is a wonderful use for olive oil that you love, I would love to hear them.
