I am bombarded with these in my email all the time. Warnings and lawsuits against birth control. I have had my share of problems with birth control. Weight gain and terrible emotional mood swings with Tirvora, and body rejection and weight gain with the Nuva Ring. So when I started my journey to getting healthier I was very interested in knowing if I should stop my birth control or if it was okay to continue. I was informed by my close friend and nutritionist to opt for natural family planning. I do not want to get pregnant but I knew that this was the best thing for my body so I started the search for all options of natural family planning. I am currently using three different methods just to be on the safe side. Although I am using three there are still more options then what I am using as natural family planning, I just chose these because they best my lifestyle. I am using a free phone app called Pink Pad, which you plug in your information and it predicts your fertile days. My second method is Cycle beads, which I found on the internet. The last and probably most effective is a basel thermometer. It has been 4 months now and I feel great. No more of all the above side effects of birth control pills, and also no pregnancy. A very close friend of mine who is also my health coach(Mrs. Faith Hill C.N.C) helped me make this change has been using natural family planning for 5 years sucessfully with her husband. I would recommened this change to anyone, just be very careful and use caution for your first two months while you are learning you body.
